How Pellet Heating Works

Pellet stoves burn compressed wood pellets automatically fed from a hopper into the firebox by an auger. A thermostat regulates the feed rate to maintain your desired temperature. Most stoves hold enough pellets for 12–24+ hours of continuous heat, and pellets are widely available throughout the Pacific Northwest.
